Conditioning

Whose programming am I running on?

Conditioning is the operating system we did not install but use every day.

Some of it is useful — how to cross a road, how to be kind. Some of it is the residue of fear, expectation and inherited shame.

Recognising the code is not blaming anyone. It is reading the source.

Reflection

  • — What rule do I obey without remembering when I agreed to it?
  • — If this rule disappeared tomorrow, what would I do differently?
