I can't say no

What am I afraid would happen if I said no — and meant it?

"I can't say no" is rarely about capacity. It is about cost.

We learned, early, that yes kept us in the room. The bill arrives later, in exhaustion, resentment, or quiet collapse.

Saying no is not rude. It is honest pricing.

Reflection

  • — What did I say yes to this week that I knew I should refuse?
  • — What would saying no cost me — and what would it return?
